The challenge
Mazars is an international organisation specialising in accountancy, tax advice and consultancy. It has 300 offices in 79 countries. Since 2016, CBRE has had a cooperation agreement with Mazars for its office projects in the Netherlands. As part of this, we have developed a bespoke workplace concept. After a successful rollout in Rotterdam, the concept is now being implemented at Mazars Apeldoorn. There the company is looking for a new, sustainable and transparent office. A place where the Mazars identity is recognisable and employees have an open working environment rather than being confined to separate rooms. This speeds up connections and encounters.Our approach
The entire CBRE team first streamlines coordination of the project and recalibrates the spatial Schedule of Requirements to cater for all the various user groups within Mazars. The team then designs a workplace concept with an emphasis on connections and encounters, while also drawing a clear distinction between the front and back offices.The procedure
After reviewing the spatial and functional Schedules of Requirements, CBRE sets about finding the right premises for Mazars in Apeldoorn. Various locations are visited with the client to build a better picture of what it is looking for. Following intensive consultations, the building finally chosen is one where the existing layout for the current tenant, insurance cooperative Univé, is already largely suitable for Mazars. This brings immediate efficiency benefits to its conversion, in terms of timing and investment. CBRE then realigns its project plans to take the legacy design into consideration, while still implementing the new workplace concept and introducing the Mazars look and feel to the office.The result
