Want to get your real estate career off to a flying start? Then sign up for the CBRE Traineeship. The CBRE Traineeship is a company-wide development program for all junior professionals, regardless of the department you work in. The program is tied to your position as a junior professional at the start of your career at CBRE, regardless of your specific role.
The program lasts one year and is based on three pillars:
- professional development
- personal development
- and a strong network
The traineeship is structured according to the 70-20-10 model: 70% of your development comes from hands-on experience through challenging assignments and projects, 20% from mentoring and collaboration with colleagues, and 10% from targeted training. This mix ensures that you not only gain knowledge but also learn how to apply it in practice and continue to grow in your role.
Professional Development
Professional development is all about broadening your understanding of the real estate sector, the organizational structure, and the work carried out by various departments. Through the “Meet & Greet the Teams” event, you’ll get to know colleagues from across the organization. You’ll learn which clients they serve, the sectors in which they operate, and the projects they’re working on.
Personal Development
Personal development focuses on strengthening your skills and self-awareness. You’ll take courses in areas such as presentation skills, time management, and AI, and work with psychometric tools. This will give you a better understanding of your behavior, strengths, and areas for growth, and teach you how to apply them effectively in your daily work.
Crossing the border
During the traineeship, you’ll build your network by getting to know other junior employees in the same program and by meeting experienced colleagues who lead program activities. In addition to your local network, you’ll also make your first international connections during a trainee trip to one of our European offices.
