Flynth

Flynth Advisers and Accountants has clear ambitions for the Flynth working and visiting locations throughout the Netherlands. It wants to move into high-profile locations where it can implement a new standardised workplace concept and interior design.
The challenge
Flynth is the Netherlands’ largest consultancy and accountant for argo and SME entrepreneurs. The organisation plans to sail a new, more professional course, and for this to be reflected in its premises. Each of the working and visiting locations must be in a visible, central and easily accessible location. At the same time, it wants to roll out a new workplace concept, with employees no longer in separate rooms but in an open space designed to facilitate easier contact, greater interaction and short lines of communication. The new office in Zwolle is to be the pilot project.
Our approach
Before CBRE begins its search for suitable locations, we conduct interviews with directors, managers and employees to build a clear picture of the client’s exact wishes and requirements. We then develop a new workplace concept suitable for every branch, with an emphasis on fast interaction and open working areas but also featuring “focus zones” in which staff can concentrate fully when they need to. We also design a standard interior subtly incorporating elements from the company identity. This can be rolled out at every location, regardless of size.
The process
Based on the client’s Schedule of Requirements and the new workplace concept, CBRE goes in search of suitable locations in Zwolle. After first compiling a longlist, we are able to convince the client of the possibilities offered by a unique but, at first glance, not that obvious building in the bustling heart of the town. In consultation with CBRE, the owner of the property creates a separate entrance for Flynth and makes the necessary technical modifications. The three-storey building has 1700 square metres of workspace, with open, “coupé” and focus zones, offices for a day and lounge workplaces on each floor. From the entrance, employees and visitors proceed directly to the central heart of the Flynth office on the third floor, with a beautiful view of Zwolle. A “living room” here doubles as a reception area and central meeting place, and two staircases provide access to the second and first floors.
The result
Thanks to the integrated service provided by CBRE, within a year Flynth has a centralised Schedule of Requirements, a new workplace concept and a new office design. This greatly simplifies the subsequent search for suitable locations. The pilot project in Zwolle is completed in October 2018, entirely according to the client's wishes.
