Tyler Mangin, Ph.D., is the Senior Managing Economist for Multifamily at CBRE Econometric Advisors, CBRE's forecasting research team. In this role, he builds CBRE's macroeconomic and multifamily outlooks for the U.S., forecasting the economic growth and job trends that drive real estate demand, along with apartment rents, vacancy and new supply in markets across the country. He turns those forecasts into clear guidance for investors, lenders and developers deciding where and when to buy, build and lend.
Before joining CBRE in 2023, Tyler spent seven years at Opensignal, a global telecom analytics firm, rising from Economist to Director of Research. There he built forecasting models that gave clients a complete view of the wireless and device markets, combining the company's own data with outside sources and updating as new information arrived. He also expanded the firm's forecasting offerings and led a full upgrade of its flagship data product.
Education
Tyler earned his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is based in Denver.
