UK Sustainability Index: Results to H2 2025

CBRE’s latest Sustainability Index shows that since its inception, energy-efficient buildings have outperformed inefficient assets, with results varying across real estate sectors.
In H2 2025, efficient industrial assets recorded higher total returns than inefficient assets, however the performance gap narrowed for the office and retail sectors, as inefficient assets posted stronger capital value growth in the second half of last year.
