Growing shortage of free-sector sheltered housing - Healthcare real estate report H1 2018

More and more senior citizens want to live in sheltered housing. In the unregulated sector, however, there is currently a shortfall of 32,000 units. This is forecast to rise to 52,000 in 2040. The most acute shortfalls are in the Utrecht, greater Amsterdam, greater Rijnmond (Rotterdam) and Veluwe regions, as well as parts of Noord-Brabant.
