Leaving an unique location is not an easy decision to make. Rotterdam-Rijnmond Safety Region (VRR), however, was about to leave the World Port Center. CBRE showed that if the space was reorganized, VRR could keep this unique office, while several additional branches of the organization would become redundant.
The challenge The office at the World Port Center does not meet the demands of the largest safety region in the Netherlands anymore. At the same time, the port of Rotterdam is one of the unique elements in this safety region. VRR wants to make sure that relocation was the best option.
CBRE showed that if the space was reorganized, VRR could keep this unique off ice, while several additional branches of the organization would become redundant. Enclosed workspaces were reduced in number and relocated to open up the panorama of the semi-circular façade. By opening the panorama of the semi-circular façade, VRR literally overlooks the area whose safety it manages. Meanwhile, the sturdy interior design refers to the house styles and accommodation of the emergency services.
