Hoofddorp will commence in the summer of 2017. The office building’s prime
focus will be human well-being and sustainable building-based solutions.

being pursued in the context of the LEED (Leadership in Energy &
Environmental Design) sustainability label. This involves the use of strategies
in areas such as water and energy efficiency, and the reduction of CO2
building features a glass facade traversed by deep, delicate ledges. On each
floor, sections of the façade are ‘folded’ inwards, creating outdoor spaces
that feel like natural extensions of the building’s interior. The spacious,
column-free workspaces (each approximately 2,800 sq.m. in area) are laid out
around a large, well-lit atrium. The heart of this area will be devoted to
Asics World, a space where the company’s products and those of its sub-brands
can be exhibited. The other functional features of the atrium include a stage,
meeting rooms, fitness facilities and a Brand Store.

development involves intensive cooperation between Asics, RED Company (the
developer), Powerhouse Company (the building’s architects) and CBRE (strategic
advisor and project manager). CBRE is also working closely with Powerhouse
Company on the interior design.
