Higher take-up volume office market driven by G4

The first quarter of 2012 showed a very different picture than the same quarter one year ago.

More transactions have been recorded and despite the lower average volume per transaction, the total volume of transactions in 2012 Q1 is 18% higher year-on-year and brought over 275,000 sq m in the scale. Four of the five largest transactions concerned the letting of property in the G4 cities (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht). Amsterdam saw the largest deal thanks to Nuon Energy, who rented the 26,000 sq m office ‘Nieuw Amsterdam’ in the Southeast district.
